Playfulness

Keeping a sort of 'playfulness' in terms of attempting imagination and creativity allows one to avoid the rigidity and closedness of mind that so often occurs in times of panic and whilst one is under stress. This allows one to possibly see solutions to problems that, otherwise, one would not consider due to previous conditioning brought on by 'cognitive conformity', which can be defined as the type of thinking that becomes the normal mode for individuals as they are taught by authority figures throughout their formative years for reasons (usually unknowingly so) of developing a conformist thought process and, hence, overall view of the world.
This includes the entirety of concepts that one is told to not bother entertaining for whatever variety of reasons and the concepts one learns to not bother entertaining later on.
In an increasingly complex world, the need for the ability to deal with new and novel issues requires creative and unique solutions.
